Summer Camper

Summer Camps

LRA offers week long camps during the summer and shorter winter camps. Campers age 5 through 14 are invited to attend. Children at all riding levels are welcome including those with no prior experience. Campers who have ridden before can advance their horsemanship knowledge, enhance their riding skills and enjoy riding with friends.

Each camper rides approximately 1½ to 2 hours per day. In addition, campers participate in practical horse care activities, educational horse games, equine crafts, and classes to learn about equine anatomy and conformation, health, nutrition and history of the horse. On Friday, campers prepare their horses for a fun horse show and demonstrate their skills for their families.

Camps are non-residential however housing can be arranged for a limited number of campers from out of town.
