Welcome to the Lexington Riding Academy

The Lexington Riding Academy (LRA) is Kentucky's premiere stable for horseback riding instruction. The academy offers English saddleseat lessons, Western saddle, as well as other riding disciplines. In addition to riding instruction, the LRA offers a variety of equestrian programs throughout the year for both children and adults.

Our experienced and trained staff are dedicated to providing a fun atmosphere where students can learn how to ride while developing leadership, confidence and responsibility. Whether you are just beginning or have riding experience, the LRA is the place where you can build strong riding skills that will last a lifetime.

In order to better serve our Bluegrass customers, the LRA has relocated to the new Ed Cockriel Stables at the Historic Frank Bradshaw Farm just minutes from I-75 in Georgetown, KY. Just 20 minutes north of Lexington, the stable is a full-service American Saddlebred training, breeding, sales and riding instruction facility.
